Adoption Program
Because of the large amount of abandoned animals due to foreclosures, AWR is unable to take in any more animals at this time. Please check back at a later date for updates on the foreclosure crisis and how they are affecting our animals.

Our Adoption program was designed to help needy animals get a new start and find themselves a forever home. Animals will be Spayed or Neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated, treated for any illness and temperament tested  before putting up for adoption. We will perform home checks to make sure we match the right pet with you and your family. This will be our everyday procedure with any animal who comes to our facility.

Diamonds in the Desert Program.

During this time of foreclosure crisis in the Antelope Valley, we are seeing more and more animals being dumped in our deserts. This has been a problem in the Antelope Valley for sometime, but with the housing market and construction jobs diminishing, people are getting more desperate. I can’t imagine anyone dumping a poor animal in the desert with the harsh conditions we have in the A.V.

Ginger a Chocolate Lab mix was the first dumped dog in my program.
She was brought to me after a woman saw her in the desert for 3 days starving and dehydrated. The woman checked for a microchip and tag/collar, posted flyer's, advertised the finding of her and even waited a full 30 days before bringing her to me. I took her straight to the vet for another microchip scan, posted flyer's and advertised her finding on The Pet Portal website that posts to Pet finder, Pets 911 and 1-800-save-a-pet. Since Ginger has been here, she has been De Wormed, Vaccinated, Microchiped and Socialized with other dogs and people. Ginger was spayed and now in her forever loving home!  Ginger was dumped in our desert to die.
I have seen hamsters and even litters of puppies dumped in our deserts to die. With education on my website, I can let my community know there is a place to take them before the desert, here at Aniwayha Wild Rescue.

With the Diamonds in the Desert Program,
we can take these poor abandoned animals in, give them the medical treatment they need, spay or neuter them for their health and the over population we face every day in the A.V, give them food for their bellies and most of all Love. Please, if this is a emergency and you can't keep your pet DO NOT DUMP THEM IN THE DESERT. They would have a better chance in the shelter by getting food, water and shelter. What ever your reasonings are THINK about it, AWR is here for our community!

Foster Program
I have started to foster shelter animals who would of been put to sleep.
It is easy for me to care and love these animals but it also cost money. I can foster animals with donations or a sponcership contract. Please e-mail me if there is a urgent need for foster care..I will get to you as soon as possible as I check my e-mails daily.

One Less Shelter Pet Program

One Less Shelter Pet Program
Is a new program we are starting in 2008!
This program is still in the conception stage. One Less Shelter Pet will cut down the percentage of "bully Breeds" in the shelters by purchasing a animal from a private party or unlicensed breeders and asking the simple questions any licensed breeder would know. Like, are  the animals AKC papered, are the pups micro-chiped? Have they been wormed or had any shots? Have the parents been tested for genitic diseases? Of course, so few of the unlicensed breeders do not perform these tests that's why these animals are so DISPOSABLE! I will also offer them information on where they can get free spay/neuters in our area.
Question?
Is this a program that will contribute to the backyard breeding of the bully breeds?
Well, I am positive if the animal comes to our facility, he/she will have a better chance of getting into a home who will take good care of him/her and NOT end up at the shelter, bred or dead. This program is intercepting a animal who MAY end up on the streets, dead or in the shelter.
Being One Less Shelter Pet!

In our One Less Shelter Pet Program, the animal will be socialized, micro-chiped, vaccinated against puppy diseases and Giardia. The animal will get to have 6 children to interact with, different species to live with, Basic training, Crate training and  the animal will be spayed and neuterd.
I will then start the process of rehoming the animal to a home that qualifies for this program.

Caring for Animals 101
Caring For Animals 101 Program...
CFA 101 is a Program that is designed for children.
This program will allow them to interact with our animals by feeding them, brushing them, cleaning up after  them and learning how important animals our to the enviroment. CFA 101 will give the children hands on education and with them understanding that animals are not to be hurt or mistreated but loved and cared for by humans. Education is the key for young people to be taught that animals are not disposible, they are for life!
This program will allow my rescued animals to interact with children so they know that children are not going to harm them and in return know they are going to be loved.
If we teach our generations to come to care, love and understand animals, we will be making sure they dont grow up to be cruel to animals.
Making CFA 101
the program for the future!
